  10.     I was appalled at the remark made by a California swimsuit
  11. maker: its line of slimming suits "was cut for the Midwestern
  12. frame." As a transplanted Midwesterner living in New York City,
  13. I find this to be yet another example of bicoastal snobbery
  14. directed at citizens living in places that are considered less
  15. chic and desirable. I have news for you: fat people live
  16. everywhere. They aren't just penned up in some corral in Kansas.
